Wow! August brought some excitement for Imåhen Taotao Tåno’ & we brought our love for the culture in return!
At the beginning of the month, a few of us traveled to Washington State to join with our cultural dancing brothers & sisters for the 2nd Annual Guma’ Unification. This is an amazing opportunity for us to work together and share our passion as one. Uncle Frank Rabon came from Guam with the GVB to share his lifelong wisdom & established practices. Next year – Long Beach!
The few members who traveled to Washington returned home just in time for the Caribbean Multicultural Festival. This is always a colorful and welcoming event! This event of “One World, One Love” is exactly how we want to celebrate with other cultures!
Finally, we joined the Pacific Islander Festival Association for their Inaugural Luau! This was a nice presentation of islanders coming together in an intimate setting while enjoying food & dance!
